What is the WHC all about?
We are so excited to announce this year’s PVOGS Women’s Health Conference!
We have decided to do things a little bit differently this year. We are hosting a hybrid event, with a free online webinar day and multiple free and ticketed in-person clinical workshops and social events around Australia and New Zealand. The webinar day will be hosted by PVOGS ANZ, and each in-person state event will be hosted by the relevant regional PVOGS committee.
Our theme this year is “Overcoming Challenges”.
Medical students and junior doctors face a variety
of professional and personal challenges through
their careers. As such, hearing from senior doctors
in obstetrics and gynaecology who have overcome
these challenges would be a great opportunity.
Our webinar day will include some incredible speakers from a range of different backgrounds, all speaking about their personal journey within women’s health and the different challenges they have overcome. Covering everything from the challenges of being a junior O&G doctor and entering RANZCOG, to balancing a research career and a family while working as an O&G consultant, we hope you will all learn from the experiences of our amazing speakers and be well equipped to overcome any future challenges.
Our in-person state events will be hosted at different dates through September and will include some stellar hands-on clinical workshops with a variety of O&G stations designed to help you learn and grow your knowledge of women’s health. We will also be having some in-person webinar viewing parties in some states, allowing you to all come together to watch the webinar live, network with your peers, and share some food.
